Message from Peter Kallai

Canada has an incredible opportunity before it to become a world leader in Printable Electronics (PE).

We have the resources, the track record in innovation and the domain expertise in key industries to stake our claim in this emerging industry sector.

But it requires a collaborative effort to build on what has already been accomplished by Canadian industry, Canadian innovators and the National Research Council. We need a robust ecosystem that can create compelling products and end customer solutions, and get them to market.

This Association will serve as the catalyst and nexus for that ecosystem.

End customers and end users of PE applications, startups and SMEs, university and government research labs, systems integrators and OEMs, and venture capitalists and angel groups – any individual or organization with a vested interest in PE willing to participate in the growth of Canada’s PE sector is a welcome addition to the CPEIA’s Membership.

While our primary members will be Canadian organizations, we recognize that PE is a global industry. Organizations outside of Canada that are involved with Canadian companies and the R&D community are welcome to participate in the CPEIA.

All of you possess insight, resources and expertise crucial to the success of this Association and the Canadian PE sector. For a modest membership cost, you will in turn enjoy access to our resources and services, as well as those of our other Members and Partners.

These include exclusive networking and matchmaking opportunities to partner and collaborate, access to resources and expertise from partner organizations, advocacy support to tap into external funding sources, and connections with potential customers around the world.

I am excited by the opportunities that lie before us. Together, we can achieve the critical mass to generate billions of dollars worth of new activity in PE for our knowledge economy, create jobs and strengthen the Made in Canada brand abroad.
