

Christina Cvetan

Customer Packaging Global Capability, Unilever R&D, Unilever
Christina has worked at Unilever in R&D Packaging for over 15 years supporting the Health & Beauty, Homecare and Foods categories. In her current Innovating Retail role, Christina is responsible for developing capabilities through innovation and technology partnerships that can be applied globally across categories and customer channels. Inspired and influenced by the circular economy systemic approach, she believes by working in partnership we can bring new ideas to life and make our world a much better place today and into the future. Christina is a graduate of the Mohawk College Packaging Technology program.

Jeffrey Moore
Council Co-chair General Sales Manager, Add Ink - a division of Atlantic Packaging Jeffrey has over twenty years of Packaging sales experience and has worked with some of Canada's largest Food, Beverage and CPG companies. Jeffrey joined Atlantic Packaging Products in 2002 where he has held positions in multiple divisions. He took on his latest role as General Sales Manager at Atlantic's Decorative Packaging and Display division (Add Ink) in 2014. Jeffrey and his team look to Innovation, Sustainability and Cradle to Cradle life cycles as being key drivers to their customer's future success. Add Ink has won numerous awards for bringing Creative and Innovative solutions to it's customer's retail programs through Structural Design, Print and Leading Edge Technologies.
Mark Baldwin
Mark Baldwin, President & Co-Founder TUKU
Mark co-founded TUKU after spending over a decade successfully innovating the retail digital flyer industry at Conversys, a company he founded in 1999. As President and CEO, Mark provides the vision, innovative thinking and client-focus that will position TUKU an international leader in contactless in-store marketing communications.

Michelle Chrétien
Project Manager, Electronic Materials/Printed Electronics, Xerox Research Centre of Canada (XRCC)
Michelle Chrétien joined the Xerox Research Centre of Canada (XRCC) in 2007 is currently Program Manager for Strategic Research as well as the Product Manager for Electronic Materials. Michelle leads a multi-disciplinary team of chemists, materials scientists, and physicists working on both fundamental and applied problems in materials science. Her group tackles challenges such as developing new materials and processes for 3D printing and printed/flexible electronics. Michelle received her BSc in Chemistry from Dalhousie University and PhD from the University of Ottawa for work in photochemistry and photophysics. Prior to joining XRCC, Michelle was an NSERC Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Centre for Biological Applications of Mass Spectrometry in Montréal.

André Dion
General Manager, Printability and Graphic Communications Institute (ICI)
Prior to ICI, Dion worked for 20 years in the printing industry for Moore, Transcontinental Printing and Quebecor World. Throughout his career, he has worked on new products development, digital printing and print-on demand strategies, business acquisitions and the start-up of the largest financial printer in Canada, Quebecor-Merrill Canada. Dion guides ICI in pursuit of its mandate to meet the needs of the commercial printing and packing industry as it undergoes great change in response to new emerging technologies such as printable electronics. Andre will be our ambassador in the Quebec region and an important interface to the packaging and printing industry.

James D Downham
President & CEO, PAC, Packaging Consortium
Since 2006 Jim Downham has been advancing the packaging industry agenda as the President & CEO for the not-for-profit, PAC, Packaging Consortium. Prior to PAC Jim spent his career in the manufacturing of package materials/containers rising to the level of CEO of a $175 million multi-plant North American packaging leader. In 2000 Jim founded LeaderLinx, a packaging industry consultant. In November 2014 Jim reached the pinnacle of his career when he was inducted into the Packaging Hall of Fame in Chicago, Illinois.

Derrick Hemmings
Field Marketing Manager-ECP-Canada, Sun Chemical Corporation
Derrick Hemmings has over 25 years of Product Management and Field Marketing experience, in the Graphics Arts industry managing various product lines, including Energy Curable (EC), Metal Decorating, Sheetfed, Screen etc.
He uses his experience and knowledge to develop new patented technology in EC inks and is a Certified G7 Expert.
Known for strong relationship building among multiple customers and suppliers Derrick shares his knowledge by creating and implementing training modules for customers and colleagues.
Derrick is a member of the Sun Chemical Canada Leadership Team, which provides guidance to ensure the success of the Canadian Business.

Peter Kallai
President and CEO
Peter Kallai was the Founding Executive Director of the Canadian Printable Electronics Industry Association. He is also the President and CEO of KEYSTEP Growth & Finance. This Ottawa-based boutique consulting firm has focused on emerging technologies for 20 years. As a senior high-tech management consultant, Peter has assisted leading companies in optical and wireless communications, software and earth observation with their growth plans and financing. He has been involved with the inception, growth, exit and merger or acquisition of more than 40 companies. In the role of Vice-President, he helped a TSX-listed company grow from $3.2 million to over $100 million in revenue. Peter has also served on various boards and committees of companies and public sector R&D organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and a Masters in Business Administration Degree (MBA) in Strategy and Finance. Peter is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (US).

Wendy Kufeldt
Managing Director- Canada, Anthem Worldwide | A part of SGK
Wendy leads the Toronto office for Anthem Worldwide, a global strategy, design, and marketing communications agency. Anthem is an industry leader, known for its award winning package design and innovation work for some of the world’s most recognizable brands. Wendy also brings a depth of experience developing integrated marketing and shopper engagement strategies for top 100 global brands across North America in packaged goods, retail, healthcare, consumer electronics, and telecommunications. Wendy has been recognized as an innovation leader, helping brands break through in market, connect with consumers, and drive purchase.

James Lee
Director, Technology and Innovation, Jones Packaging
James Lee has more than 20 years’ experience in the graphic arts and prepress industry. He started his career in prepress with Transcontinental Digital Services where he moved into a role as a technical specialist working with CTP workflows. James joined Southern Graphic Systems Canada in 2002 and managed a group optimizing packaging prepress workflow and customer management software solutions for the consumer packaged goods industry. From there and in 2008, James joined Jones Packaging Inc. in London, Ontario where he managed the prepress art and structural design teams. Since 2013, he has held the position of Director, Technology and Innovation at Jones, focusing on innovative packaging manufacturing and design technologies for tomorrow.

Emmie Leung
Emmie Leung, Founder Emterra Group
Emmie is the founder and CEO of a national recycling and waste management company that provides integrated collection, processing and commodities marketing services for packaging and printed paper, scrap tires and liquid waste for government and producer responsibility organizations. Handling nearly a million tonnes a year of solid waste, recyclables, and organics, Emterra’s environmentally-responsible, end-of-life product management services extends the useful life and value of materials so they can be remanufactured into new products. As a driving force in the waste management and resource recycling industry in Canada for over four decades, Emmie has been widely recognized for her accomplishments including receiving the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2014 Ontario for Energy and Cleantech, a special citation from the national EY Entrepreneur Of The Year for her contribution as a pioneer in the waste resources management industry, and the 2016 University of Manitoba Distinguished Alumni Award for Professional Achievement.

Bruce Smith has worked at Molson Coors Brewing Company for thirty years covering quality management, quality audit development and standardization, supplier development, business development, and packaging development design and sustainability. He is currently working in global packaging and technology, where he leads a global network of packaging developers. This network provides support to all Molson Coors Brewing Company businesses to help them create plans to achieve the corporate ambition to be The First Choice for Consumers and Customers, ensuring that sustainability is ingrained into our culture.
Bruce is a graduate of the University of Waterloo in Chemistry, a member of the Master Brewers Association of America, American Society of Brewing Chemists, the Past Chair of Packaging Consortium and a founding member of PAC NEXT and supporter of Packaging Food Waste.

Dr. Ye Tao
Principal Research Officer, National Research Council of Canada
Dr. Ye Tao is a Principal Research Officer at the National Research Council of Canada. He is the leader of the Organic Materials and Devices team at the Information and Communication Technologies Portfolio, and the leader of the Functional Devices Thrust for NRC’s Printable Electronics Flagship Program. His research interest has been in the areas of organic semiconductor materials and devices, material structure-property relationship, charge transport and recombination behavior, surface and interface physics and chemistry. Current research focus is on printable/flexible/wearable electronic devices and circuits, smart surfaces, detectors, sensors, and development of low costs manufacturing processes. Dr. Tao has published more than 150 papers in peered reviewed scientific journals and holds more than 20 US and international patents..

Aaron Willinsky
R&D Specialist, Array Marketing
Aaron heads up the R&D department at Array, a global manufacturer of retail merchandising systems and displays for the health & beauty and apparel industries. Aaron is tasked with introducing innovative new materials and technologies into the retail world.
